What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and task the carpentry team to meet tight event deadlines; run daily toolbox talks.
- Build, repair, and modify scenery, exhibit stands, and props in wood, laminates, plastics, and metal.
- Work from technical drawings, CAD files, and designer sketches; deliver show-ready finishes.
- Operate and maintain shop equipment (table saws, routers, CNC, pneumatic tools) safely.
- Inspect finished work, manage section materials, and support on-site installation at peak times.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in scenic carpentry or exhibit fabrication in a high-paced workshop.
- Proven team leadership with strong communication.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings; woodworking and scenic finishing skills.
- ERP/inventory software basics and Excel reporting a plus.
